“The cure of the part should not be attempted without the cure of the whole.”

An accomplished healer, I help my clients create opportunities to bring about shifts in consciousness. Nutrition and herbs, bodywork, and psycho/spiritual development are some of my areas of expertise.

My certification as an integrative chaplain has expanded my understanding of healing and deepened my practice of spiritual guidance.

About Cynthia

For over thirty-five years, Cynthia Armbrister has focused on integrating and balancing body systems in order to facilitate a return to wholeness and well-being.  Her approach incorporates traditional touch therapies (both Eastern and Western), as well as holistic health practices such as nutrition and energy medicine.

Each session is unique and tailored to the individual client’s needs. If the presenting concern is physical pain, injury or chronic conditions, a variety of touch therapies can be utilized to ease the discomfort.  Sometimes, incorporating nutritional balancing or lifestyle adjustments can hasten the healing process.  Additionally, addressing spiritual malaise may create an opening for a deeper journey to wholeness.

Cynthia began her journey with holistic health after an automotive accident left her needing more than allopathic medicine could offer, and she began to explore complementary approaches to healing.  This journey led to a license as a Holistic Health Practitioner in San Diego, CA.

She was privileged to apprentice with Margarita, an indigenous healer, for over 10 years, and is writing a book on her experiences with her beloved teacher, mentor and friend.

Currently, she maintains a private practice in Fredericksburg, VA.  She is a preferred provider for the Integrative Healing program at the MWHC Regional Cancer Center, has served as a contract chaplain at Mary Washington Hospital, and has been an active hospice volunteer for several decades. She is also on the faculty of the Integrative Chaplaincy Certification Course in Charlotte, NC.
